Abstract (English)

"Michele Sereda’s vision was to introduce her Belgian friends from De Propere Fanfare to a disparate group of Regina dancers, musicians, performers, visual artists, and clowns. Through a whiz-bang series of workshops and collaborations, this unlikely group of artists promises to create an outrageous piece of processional performance to be presented at the 2015 Cathedral Village Arts Festival. This Picnic Concert and Performance Parade is a heartfelt homage to the wildly collaborative projects that Michele Sereda presented to Regina audiences for over twenty years. It’s going to be bold, loud, inventive, and absurd in a manner befitting Michele’s wonderful life as an artist. We like to think of it as a loving extension of her memorial celebration, as we pay tribute to the sage and the foolish, the sacred and the profane, the sublime and the ridiculous. It’s a silly love song to our dear friend Michele." -- Publisher's website.
