Abstract (English)"This catalogue documents the Gallery’s 2013 acquisition of the Miriam and Hudson Sargeant Art Collection: a significant holding of works by historical twentieth-century artists such as A.Y. Jackson and Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Coté, as well as by contemporary First Nations artists such as Norval Morrisseau and Jane-Ash Poitras. The Sargeants were both teachers and their influence was strongly and widely felt in the Ottawa community.
