Abstract (English)"This exhibition is the first presentation of the long-term university research project initiated by the department of art history of UQAM. It aims to address the inventory of texts and works that theorists, critics, artists, conservators and other authors had written in anticipation, reactively or in response to performance art. The exhibition room, transformed as a library and research centre, invites visitors to understand the evolution of performance art in Quebec and Canada during the lasts decades with consultation of an annotated bibliography and a selection of documents made by local and national artists." -- Publisher's website. Résumé« Cette exposition est la première présentation du projet de recherche universitaire à long terme initié par le département d’histoire de l’art de l’UQAM. Elle vise à dresser l’inventaire des textes et des ouvrages que des théoriciens, critiques, artistes, conservateurs et autres auteurs ont rédigés par anticipation, en réaction ou en réponse à l’art performatif. La salle d’exposition, transformée en centre de recherche et bibliothèque, invite les visiteurs à comprendre l’évolution de la performance au Québec et au Canada au cours des dernières décennies en consultant la bibliographie annotée et une sélection de documents faite par des artistes de la scène locale et nationale.
