Abstract (English)

"PAYSAGE is the most recent in a series of stacked wood-lath installations by New York artist Edward Mayer. In many ways, PAYSAGE is a work of great simplicity. The material used is raw, unfinished. The method of construction is rudimentary and redundant. The forms created are elementary and readily recognizable. Yet, from these basic elements, Mayer creates an environment which transforms space in ways both subtle and sophisticated." - page [2].
