Abstract (English)

Arnold locates Teitelbaum in the context of Canadian postmodernism and the avant-garde, Fulford chronicles his life and work, while Kuspit defines what it is to be an expressionist painter producing gestural work in post-war Canada. A 1978 interview with Hauser and an extended, annotated chronology of Teitelbaum's life (1921-1985) with quotations and correspondence by the artist are also included. 30 bibl. ref.
