Abstract (English)

This group of nine studies and eleven prints was curated to shed insight on the genesis and function of Longo's visual thought, influenced as it is by popular culture. The violently contorted figures of the "Men in the Cities" series (lithographs, 1982-85) have become the recognizable hallmark of the artist's work. The exhibition was documented in broadsheet form with a statement by the curator, reproductions and brief biographical notes. 9 bibl. ref.
