Abstract (English)

Chevrier draws on the avant garde's use of kitsch as a foil to contextualize Lum's investigations into the contradictions of modern art. Schulz researches the historical significance of the seating group for an analysis of the "Furniture Sculptures", while Friedel, focusing on the photographic tableaux and their evolution, examines the artist's use of image, text, and the conventions of advertising. Biographical notes. Bibl. 4 p.
