Abstract (English)

On the occasion of an exhibition spanning nearly 25 years of production by Wodiczko, Boswell provides an overview of the artist's career while Turowski contextualizes Wodiczko's work in Poland during the 1970s within a history of state intervention in the arts. Focusing on the notion of public art, Phillips discusses Wodiczko's projects of the 1980s and Hebdige examines the "Homeless Vehicle Project" (1988-1991). Includes notes on indoor and public projections (1980-1991), accompanied by excerpts from previously published statements by the artist. Biographical notes. Bibl. 3 p.
