Abstract (English)

Rose makes the case for contemporary drawing, i.e. that which since the 17th century has changed only most recently with Braque and Picasso's introduction of collage as a legitimate technique. Rose then continues by describing works by 42 artists and one team of European and North American origins. Biographical notes. Circa 100 bibl. ref.
