Abstract (English)

Hanhardt places Lucier's sound installation "Seesaw" in the context of works by other contemporary composers who create spatial environments in galleries. He then shows how in general Lucier's sound installations approach issues found in the works of film and video installation artists. Artist's statement. Biographical notes. 7 bibl. ref.
