Abstract (English)

The general theme of love connects 11 authors' texts examining such diverse aspects of the subject as the weather metaphor in popular music, liberationist movements in 17th century England, Casanova, "love and drugs" in the 1960s, the "cinematicity of the feminine," and queer cultural identity through analysis of Canadian films "Forbidden Love" (1992) and "Lip Gloss" (1993). Includes five artists' projects.
