Abstract (English)In his examination of the work of nine Canadian and American artists, Ferguson demonstrates the compelling potency and significance exerted by technology on contemporary art. In taking both the state of aesthetic technology and the physical characteristics of the exhibition space (the NOVA building) into consideration, the curator privileged video and multi-media installation. His critical account of the exhibition encompasses a textually "collaged" overview, an analysis of individual works and biographical descriptions. 5 bibl. ref.
