Abstract (English)

An exhibition catalogue to accompany Glenn’s installation incorporating objects collected and used in his still life paintings. Lemecha’s analysis of “The Plexiglass Room” (1998) places emphasis on the archival aspect of the piece, while drawing attention to issues of time, memory and identity. The author also reflects on how the exhibition differs from a conventional retrospective. Includes: excerpts from texts by A. Danto and C.J. Beck; a poem by J. Hicks; and an artist’s statement.
