Abstract (English)

This catalogue for an exhibition of Fenwick’s landscape paintings considers the life-long relationship the artist has had with the land around the Georgian Bay in Ontario. Fraser argues that Fenwick’s practice, linking the landscape with the unconscious, is a form of Romantic painting that is postmodern in the sense of its idiosyncratic identity. Bio-bibilography 3 p.
