Abstract (English)

Published concurrently with the opening of La Filature (a space for the production and presentation of visual and media arts), this document presents the renovation project of the Hanson Hosiery Mills building, which now houses artist-run centres AXENÉO7 and DAIMON. The book contains socio-historical information on the building, traces the development of the project and includes a description of an artwork by J. Dubeau, which was produced in the context of Québec’s policy for incorporating artworks into architectural projects. Includes a floor plan. Texts in French with English abstracts.

Soulignant l’ouverture du centre de création et de diffusion des arts visuels et médiatiques La Filature, ce document présente le projet de rénovation du bâtiment industriel « Hanson Hosiery Mills », qui abrite maintenant les centres AXENÉO7 et DAÏMÕN. L’ouvrage comprend des informations sociohistoriques sur l’édifice, retrace les étapes de développement du projet et inclut une description de l’œuvre de J. Dubeau, réalisée dans le cadre de la politique d'intégration des arts à l'architecture. Inclut un plan des lieux. Textes en français avec résumés en anglais.
