Abstract (English)

In a collection of short texts that date from 1974 to 2000, Sherman addresses the North American experience of the information age. The essays, written in an informal, personal style, describe the effects of, or suggest means of coping with, the explosion of the I-Bomb, or rather, information overload. Frequently referring to his own work, Sherman illustrates the challenges and rewards of relating artistic practice to telecommunications technology. Biographical notes. Publication notes. 32 bibl. ref.
