Abstract (English)

This catalogue is from a Frankfurt retrospective of Kennedy’s wall painting and work referencing painting in all its aspects – or his deconstruction of painting, as K. König describes it. A. Nollert narrates a visit to the exhibition, discussing the significance of colour in Kennedy’s work. Budney details the paradoxes in Kennedy’s socially engaged conceptualism, noting that they highlight the tensions and problems embedded in the art industry. Texts in English and German.
