Abstract (English)

Texts on Heller’s New York paintings are coloured by the events of 9/11. DiFazio links the mercurial paintings to the artist’s commitment to disrupting hierarchies. Dault notes the artist’s ability to embody in feverish lines and paint the spirit of New York, which reminds him of Dali’s delirious descriptions of the city. Heller, interviewed by Teitelbaum, asserts her fidelity to painting (and New York) and describes her method of working. 9 bibl. ref. List of works. Bio-bibliography 3 p.
