Abstract (English)

As a way of introducing this exhibition of new painting from the Pacific Northwest, Baldissera reflects on the shared history of the art communities in Seattle and Victoria. She also suggests this new generation of artists is marked by the peripatetic/international art scene. Kangas surveys the works in the show, and clusters them into groups with particular affinities.
