Abstract (English)

Byrne’s essay in this catalogue to accompany Chamber’s exhibition, states that the experience of the artist’s installation supports the contemplation of reality and spirituality. Chambers expresses her ambivalence towards the utopian aspects of her work, claiming that its darkness is intended not only to enhance its aesthetic pleasure but also to evoke a sense of the ominous.
