Abstract (English)

"Words and promises are the strategies to get the public attention, the audience, and finally the money", states inter-disciplinary artist Antonio Muntadas in relation to his video installation "The Board Room". Originally produced at the Massachusetts College of Art in 1987, "The Board Room" sets videotaped material of 13 world religious leaders and evangelists into the social/architectural space of the board room to draw parallels between corporate, spiritual and media power, propaganda and the "need for believing".
