Abstract (English)

"The reactions to Gregor Schneider's piece '7-8:30 PM 05.31.2007' have been very mixed and intense : the work triggered anxiety, caused misunderstandings, and provoked anger as well as laughter. Despite this, or maybe even due to it, the work was well received and highly praised. This publication is an attempt to shed light on the controversy surrounding the work and follow up on the documentation of the piece in and of itself ; to place the work in a cultural and academic framework and deal with its origins, hence making it more accessible to the public." -- p.
