Abstract (English)

"This exhibition, Family: Tradition / transition, was initially conceived to coincide with the national conference of the Society for Photographic Education, taking place in Minneapolis, March 14-17, 1985. It seemed appropriate that the theme of the exhibition relate to issues which will be addressed during the conference, New Order / No Order: the power of the image and the subsequent responsibility of the imagemaker; and the representation or misrepresentation of race, gender, and ethnic minorities in the media." -- p. [2].
