Abstract (English)

"By modeling and hybridizing the female body through the manipulation of her image on and off camera, Nadège Grebmeier Forget’s work explores how we project our fictional selves through social media. Commissioned by Youtheatre, Oxymorons is a performance driven installation viewed by the audience as a live stream video. The visual elements will stimulate questions about ideals, desires, peer-pressure, beauty and (im)perfection; what it is to feel overwhelmed by who we are and what we are “supposed to be”. Oxymorons will take place in the Segal Centre ArtLounge and CinemaSpace." -- Producer website.
