Abstract (English)"The theme of the ninth Manif d'art, Small Between the Stars, Large Against the Sky, suggests a sensitivity to our environment and a desire for humankind to be aware of its nature, its actions, and the impact these actions can have. Chosen by our guest curator, Jonathan Watkins, it raises critical questions about our relationship with nature, our environment, our fellow humans, as well as our future on Earth. Far from being pessimistic, the artists reveal their observations, fantasies, obsessions, and utopias, be they metaphorical, playful, political or poetic." -- page 8.
