Abstract (English)

"Titled after Virginia Wolf’s last novel, Between the Acts presents sculptures and installations that meditate upon the time and space that exists between main events. Curated by Juana Valdes, this all female exhibition features work that explores the changing tides of feminist thought. The works in this show empower traditionally domestic materials by transforming the mundane into unexpected art objects. Feminist performance artist Faith Wilding contributed an essay to the exhibition catalogue and served as the moderator on a panel that was held in conjunction with the exhibition." -- Publisher's website.
