Abstract (English)

This catalogue/artist's book was put together by Kosuth for an exhibition of still life work by 25 international artists. While Lauf describes the aim of this exhibition of three centuries of still life compositions, Da Rosa meditates on historical differences between still life and figure painting. Clegg and Guttman extend the notion to landscape and portraiture. Biographical notes. 17 bibl. ref.
