Abstract (English)

This album reproduces in full - as well as through revelatory details - 21 photographic portraits by De Jaeger. Eack work is commented on by the artist who unveils the circumstances surrounding his encounter with the model. Tracing the history of photographic representation, Caujolle demonstrates how the choices effected by the Belgian photographer interrogate the laws and processes of the portrait genre.

Cet album reproduit intégralement - et au moyen de détails révélateurs - 21 portraits photographiques réalisés par De Jaeger. Chaque oeuvre s'accompagne d'un commentaire de l'artiste spécifiant notamment les circonstances de la rencontre avec le modèle. Refaisant l'histoire de la représentation photographique, Caujolle démontre que les partis pris du photographe belge interrogent les lois et procédés du genre "portrait".
