Abstract (English)

Watson suggests Arden's photographs of houses and industrial landscapes from the Vancouver region are dialectical images concerned with the natural environment and the "regressive vernaculars of corporate globalism." Culley reflects on how these photographs approach the ecological devastation caused by massive real estate developments. Miller's description of Arden's "Basement" series focuses on the fragmentary quality of photographic documentation. Biographical notes. 32 bibl. ref.
