Abstract (English)

In her descriptive analysis of Karch-Ackerman’s sculptures, Tamplin considers how living on a farm in northern Ontario has affected the artist. The author also suggests Karch-Ackerman’s use of “girl” imagery provides a critical look at Canadian society’s perception of childhood and death. List of works. Biographical notes. 10 bibl. ref.
