Abstract (English)Catalogue to accompany the seventh in a series of exhibitions dedicated to the Canadian Centre for Architecture’s collection of toys and games. The “Cities in Motion” project focuses on transportation infrastructures and the transformations they inscribe within the topography of the city. Ingersoll’s autobiographical fable draws attention to how the passion for toy trains and the imaginary world of childhood relates to utopian ideals and problems of urban integration. Includes notes by Haddad on the history of the toys exhibited, and a list of toys and games in the exhibition. RésuméCatalogue publié à l’occasion de la septième exposition d’une série conçue autour de la collection de jeux et de jouets du Centre canadien d’architecture. L’ensemble du projet «Villes en mouvement» propose une réflexion sur les infrastructures de transport et les transformations qu’elles induisent dans la topographie de la ville. Le texte de Ingersoll montre, à partir d’une fable en partie autobiographique, comment la passion pour les trains miniatures et le monde imaginaire de l’enfance sont proches de l’utopie et expriment les problèmes réels d’intégration urbanistique.
