Abstract (English)

"Tracking is an intuitive inquiry into the origin, function, and significance of the pictographs of the Columbia plateau. My initial interest in the rock paintings was inspired by their formal qualities and the fact that they are found throughout the entire region. They delivered information commonly understood and respected by a community of speakers and listeners." -- Carl Granzow, page 7.
