Abstract (English)

Levine's use of photography and video to document her personal interaction with Vancouver's small Chassidic community is described by Love. Bancroft questions Levine's relationship to Chassidic patriarchy, while the artist discusses her vision of documentary as a balance between the subject and the artist's inner self.
