Abstract (English)

Although Chwelos' ceramics pieces are designed with their function in mind, they also serve for the exploration of the artist's painterly and sculptural concerns. As described in this broadsheet, her methodology combines an agressive decorative style, with bold colours and design, and the use of broken pieces of commercially produced ceramics.
