Abstract (English)

"In December 1980, three Canadian artists [...] were selected to participate in the First Australian Sculpture Triennal which took place at the La Trobe University campus, near Melbourne, from February 28 to April 12, 1981. They travelled to Australia where they designed and executed sculptures on site, along with three hundred invited Australian, including three Australians [...] who were selected as the Australians representatives in an exchange programme between Canada and Australia. 3+3+9 represents the reciprocal part of this exhibition/exchange, involving the three selected Australian and Canadian artists working on site, at Harbourfront, in conjunction with nine other Canadian artists." -- p.
