Abstract (English)

Bell suggests Buyers' installations from the late 1980s through to 1996 reflect on how feminity is constituted within White Anglo-Canadian middle-class culture. Podedworny focuses on the symbolic and metaphoric content of Buyers' bookworks, which present a critical inquiry into themes of memory and desire in relation to women's subordination in Western culture.
