Abstract (English)

In the form of a heterogeneous breviary, Purdy's book presents short realistic/fictional texts on themes of religion, love and biology, using different styles of writing (scientific account, parable, correspondence). Illustrated with the artist's work, which reconstitutes objects from the stories.

Sous la forme d'un bréviaire hétéroclite, Purdy brode de courtes fictions réalistes autour de thèmes touchant au religieux, à l'amour et à la biologie sous divers modes suggestifs (exposé scientifique, parabole, correspondance). Illustré d'oeuvres de l'artiste reconstituant certains objets issus des récits.
