Accompanying a retrospective exhibition of Cardinal-Schubert's paintings and installations from 1977 through 1997, this catalogue contains an interpretive essay by Burns and an interview with the artist by G. McMaster. Issues concerning the environment, human rights and racism are discussed in relation to the lost history and cultural genocide of First Nations people.
