Abstract (English)

Derksen's analysis of Tsang's multimedia installation "The Crowning" - based on the theatrical re-staging of a playground - focuses on issues concerning reproductive labour, the power of discourse and the repression of the body. McFarlane's essay calls attention to questions concerning phallocentric representational systems, as well as the mimetic function of materials and memory. Biographical notes on the artist. 28 bibl. ref.
