Abstract (English)

The techno/pop style of this catalogue for an exhibition of works by nine Montreal-based artists corresponds formally with the curatorial theme, which is to highlight contemporary artworks occupying an interstitial space between Art and popular culture. Includes brief interpretive texts by the curators, photographs of the vernissage and benefit party, listing of party performances and DJs, as well as a list of works. Biographical notes on artists.

Le style techno/pop de ce 7 - qui regroupe les oeuvres de neuf artistes montréalais - correspond formellement au thème retenu par les commissaires, soit de mettre en lumière un art contemporain occupant un espace intersticiel entre l'Art et la culture populaire. Inclut de courts textes interprétatifs des commissaires et des photographies du vernissage et de la soirée bénéfice (avec listes des performances et des "DJ"s de cette soirée).
