Abstract (English)

Catalogue made to accompany a collaborative Mail Art exhibition organized by Klassen, which consisted of artist's books by more than 700 participants representing 37 countries. Klassen's introductory text focuses on the metaphorical connotations of her references to "Books on Fire" and "the Renegade Library". Includes descriptions of selected Renegade books; listing of books and individuals involved in the exhibition; notices of Mail Art projects; Lending Library request form; a reprinted review of the exhibition by Diane Nelson.
