Abstract (English)

A major catalogue accompanying Marchetti's exhibition of gallery installations conceived as musical scores. Castillejo reflects on his 33 year long friendship with Marchetti, underlining the artist's preoccupations with mimesis, parody, laughter and impermanence. G. Bonomo focuses on the reflexive character of the artist's "musical poetics", drawing attention to how Marchetti resists musical avant-gardism by means of compositional praxis. Includes texts from "The Hunt (Quartet No. 2)", as well as other writings by the artist; a short poem by J. Hidalgo on birds; a comprehensive chronology including catalogue of musical and performance works, discography, etc. Biographical notes. 9 bibl. ref.
