Abstract (English)Publication to accompany Garneau’s exhibition of paintings and prints from 1995-2000. Lacroix’s interpretation of the works (bearing titles that refer to Greco-Roman mythology) focuses on their Promethean aspects. Paikowsky compares Garneau’s practice to an alchemical quest for the perfect material, while drawing attention to how the artist’s technique activates the viewer’s gaze. List of works.
