Abstract (English)Catalogue for an exhibition by four British artists whose works deal with secrecy and refer implicitly to the photographic, without necessarily using photographic materials and techniques. Guest curator Martin explains the origin of his project and analyses each work. A parallel text by Lessard offers a poetic reading of the works, interspersed with literary references, concluding with a discussion of Martin’s own artistic practice and the relationship between his activity as a writer and this exhibition. Through fragmentation, overlapping, and mirror effects, the catalogue design reflects the notions of verisimilitude, the document, and the palimpsest. Includes technical information on the works. Un texte parallèle de Lessard propose une lecture poétique des œuvres ponctuée de références littéraires, pour conclure sur la propre pratique artistique de Martin, et le rapport entre son activité d’écrivain et le présent projet d’exposition.
