Abstract (English)

For the ninth edition of this drawing biennial, Mongrain has chosen eight Québec artists whose work goes beyond the traditional limits of this medium. He explores the effects of the recent emancipation of drawing, expounds its specificity and comments on the work of the artists, prefering the notion of instrumentality to that of self-referentiality.
