Abstract (English)

Small catalogue/artist’s book published in conjunction with Kitchell’s exhibition of drawings, colour photographs and fabric sculptures focusing on the theme of weather. Fleming’s curatorial essay touches on the following subjects: Kitchell’s playful appropriation of “dressing for the weather,” the sculptural presence of her “snowsuits” and the performative aspect of her photographs. Includes a text in which the artist describes three sets of “winter clothes,” weather entries for the year 2000 and extensive visual documentation. 1 bibl. ref.
