Abstract (English)

In his essay on Tom Burrow’s recent monochrome works (cast polyester resin infused with different media such as dyes, pigments, sand and alphabet pasta), Wallace invokes the dilemma of interpreting work which appears purely formal and abstract. He also suggests that it is through the use of titles that the artist attributes metaphorical meaning to the work. Includes artist’s statement. Biographical notes.
