Abstract (English)

Publication for an exhibition based on the theme of home, comprised of works by five artists who have lived in or around Kamloops. Edelstein contextualizes the curatorial theme by referring to Dorothy’s experiences in the film “The Wizard of Oz.” Her descriptive analysis of the mixed media works and paintings in the exhibition touches on issues of gentrification, urbanization, family, queer parenting and childhood.
