Abstract (English)

This book contains high-quality reproductions of Therrien’s polaroid photographs and works on paper created between 1979-1999. Salzman’s interpretation of the artist’s work focuses on the following subjects: spatial similarities between the sculptures and works on paper; how photography contributed to the “incomplete realism” of Therrien’s pieces from 1988-92; and the relationship between inanimate objects and animated cartoons in works from 1995-2000.
