Abstract (English)

Catalogue published to accompany an exhibition of Vazan’s photographic montages that incorporate images taken in Egypt and in the province of Québec. Underlining the artist’s interest in science, the formal structures of the universe and man's relationship with the cosmos, curator Martin briefly traces Vazan’s career as a Land Art artist; he then examines in detail the works in the exhibition. Catalogue accompagnant une exposition des montages photographiques de Vazan, réalisés à partir d’images prises au Québec et en Égypte. Soulignant l’intérêt de l’artiste pour la science, les structures formelles de l’univers et les rapports entre l’homme et le cosmos, le conservateur Martin retrace brièvement le parcours de Vazan comme artiste du Land art pour ensuite examiner de plus près les œuvres de l'exposition.
